Alexander Mikaberidze is Professor of History and Ruth Herring Noel Endowed Chair at Louisiana State University-Shreveport. An expert on the Napoleonic Wars, Dr. Mikaberidze has written and edited over two dozen books, including multi-volume series on the Russian eyewitness accounts of the Napoleonic Wars and a trilogy on the decisive moments of the Russian Campaign of 1812. His book, on the global impact of the Napoleonic Wars, The Napoleonic Wars: A Global History (Oxford, 2020), was internationally acclaimed and translated into half a dozen languages. His latest book is Kutuzov: A Life in War and Peace(Oxford, 2022), which earned the 2022 Distinguished Book Award from the Society for Military History.
